Does anyone know the companies that should be avoided? How to spot iffy? All talk nice and all, but what if they go bust or change name every 3 years?

Hi Spook,

We tend to advise people towards smaller and mid-sized firms. In our experience they provide better service.

All firms are supervised by regulatory professional bodies. Some are also supervised by the Financial Conduct Authority. There shouldn't be any "dodgy" firms out there, but as mentioned above service-levels will vary.

You're protected if a firm goes bust. Your funds are insured. You will be allocated a new IVA supervisor.

I am a professionally qualified debt adviser. To contact me about starting a IVA please:?
